Disconnecting the car battery

First of all, note that any transaction we make with the car battery, including your disconnection, can be dangerous as we work with an element electric.

The first thing to do is consult the manual of your car, just in case they give the battery call for special treatment.

In addition to electricity, the batteries can generate gases, so ideally the disconnections perform outdoors.

Also as a measure of self-protection before handling the battery of the vehicle, we have to take away items such as rings, earrings and belts containing metal elements.

As an additional security measure, we equip ourselves with goggles and gloves.

We locate the positive and negative battery terminals. The first, is usually identified with a red and a plus (+) and the second with black color and a negative sign (-).

First, we disconnect the negative terminal, loosening the nut with a suitable wrench.

Then you have to disconnect the positive terminal of the car battery. Once we have done, we have to be careful not to drop the nut in contact with the motor car as the nut will have a load of residual electricity that can damage the motor circuitry.
